See the Sweet Way the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Cast Commemorated Their Characters

What do a group of talented actresses do after their hit television series comes to a bittersweet end? They head over to a local tattoo parlor to solidify their friendship with permanent ink, of course – at least that’s what the leading ladies of Pretty Little Liars chose to do as soon as they wrapped up filming on the series finale, “Till DeAth Do Us PArt.”

After weeks of treating fans to emotional behind-the-scenes photos and heartbreaking farewell letters, the PLL starlets – including Lucy Hale (Aria), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Janel Parrish (Mona), Shay Mitchell (Emily), Sasha Pieterse (Alison), and Troian Bellisario (Spencer) – decided to take a late-night trip to the Shamrock Social Club in West Hollywood, California to immortalize their respective kickass characters with matching tattoos. Each girl got inked with their Rosewood alter ago’s first initial, and while everyone opted for lowercase font, Janel and Ashley went the capital letter route.

“This happened. Thank you @shamrocksocialclub for taking care of us,” Lucy wrote in the caption. “We couldn’t not get tattoos to commemorate the show! And obviously on our “shh” finger 😏.”

We got the Shhhhhhh immortalized,” added Janel, along with the heartwarming hashtag “pllforever.”

And in case paying tribute to their show’s successful seven-year run in such a meaningful way wasn’t eventful enough, the girls also showered Troian with plenty of love and good vibes in honor of her 31st birthday. Shay wrote, “12:01 am and the birthday girl gets her tattoo! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, special night with these incredible ladies… #shhhforlife”

“Almost as the needle touched my skin the clock struck midnight and some of the most beautiful and best women I know sang me happy birthday while I got my tattoo,” Troian captioned the image below. “Thank you guys and I love you. What a way to say goodbye and start a new chapter of life.”

Along with their tattoos, the PLL ladies were also gifted matching Cartier rings — courtesy of executive producer I. Marlene King. “#regram of @lucyhale all my women. And the rings that bind us,” Troian posted afterward, along with the black-and-white snapshot of their priceless gifts. “Thank you @imarleneking for so much more than just this.”

Aw! As much as it pains us to have to say goodbye to the vivid world of Rosewood and the creative masterminds who brought it to life for us each week, we take comfort in knowing we still have 10 episodes left to go, in addition to a tell-all special airing immediately afterwards. So buckle up, ladies and gentlemen, because the thrills, chills, and whirlwind emotions are far from over!
